IDHS-TDF RESIDENT DEATHS SINCE 1999
The people who run these programs pretend that they are for “treatment.” For at least 45 people who were sent to The Treatment and Detention Facility in Rushville Illinois it was a death sentence. The following names, placed here in memoriam, are a stark illustration of the false promise of therapeutic intent. These names remind us everyday of why we work to abolish pre-crime preventative detention systems.

I have a cousin living in Rushville now. He had a hernia that went untreated for years. Outside doctors warned they were life threatening. The institution did nothing until one of his hernia’s ruptured while he was on the yard. He nearly died. And to add insult to injury the Rushville guard assigned to watch him in St. Anne Hospital was caught playing with penis while he was unconscious and sleeping off the anesthesia.
Where are your residents placed when they complete their period of confinement. I know some are permitted to go home, but are there residential care facilities where others can be sent?.
You have no clue. I worked there 11 years. Most died of health issues related to their unwillingness to take care of themselves. Obesity, Hours spent in their cells finding sexual release through rape fantasies, refusing diabetic medicine and proper diet. They get better health care than I do. False flag. Delusional conclusions regarding something you know nothing about. Maybe you should host one of those on conditional release and let him babysit your kids.
